Cadillac, a luxurious branch of American Auto Company General Motors is known for the production of premium cars. Recently the company revealed one on their new model called 2017 Cadillac CTS-V. Much of redesigns are expected both internally and externally. The sport-oriented coupe is said to come with fantastic features, excellent look, and power output. By benchmarking it with its predecessor, we can expect a stunning rolling machine. Once in the market, it is projected to cause extreme competition to its rivals especially those from European countries.
2017 Cadillac CTS-V – Body and Design:
Much is expected to feature in the interior of the new CTS-v. It will come furnished with high-quality materials while enjoying superior technological equipment. Firstly, the internal part will be covered with a leather lining. The same leather treatment will be applied to the seats and the steering wheel. Despite being covered with leather, they will be sporty and having some, carbon inserts. The dashboard will be furnished with some of latest technology. It will house a centrally placed large screen display. It is on the screen where the driver will monitor vehicles conditions and performance.
The panel will have a chrome accented look and equipped with add-on buttons. The car will experience an upgraded infotainment system. The new model will have Apple CarPlay technology, Bluetooth, Onstar LTE network, Wi-Fi hotspot and android auto. Safety is one of the manufacturer’s priorities. According to predecessor’s excellent safety rating, we expect 2017 Cadillac CTS-V to be even better. Some of the safety features will be offered in the standard model while others will be optional. Standard ones include front airbags, rearview camera, and automatic braking system. Premium optional features are automatic climate control, suspension damper, and a panoramic sunroof.
The new 2017 Cadillac CTS-V is rumored to come with a modified CTS chassis. It will be stronger and light. Overall vehicle weight will be reduced by incorporation of lighter materials such as stiffened carbon and alloys. Carbon will be featured in the bonnet, hood, and spoiler. The front fascia will experience new meshed grill with a large air intake. It will have new LED headlamps and reworked bumper. On the body, the model comes with sharp lined body, modified to improve aerodynamics. Rear part will come with changed rear bumper and spoiler. The CTS will have a quad exhaust system and will be available in 19 inches’ aluminum wheels.
2017 Cadillac CTS-V – Engine and Fuel Economy:
Powering the 2017 CTS-V is a 6.2 liter V8 engine. It will have a robust power output of 640 hp at 6400 rotations per minute. Torque output will be 640 pound-feet at 3600 rotations per minute. The engine will be connected to 8-speed automatic transmission. This power transfer has proved more efficient than dual-clutch. Acceleration wise the coupe will have the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Maximum cruising speed will be 200 mph. Fuel use according to estimations will be 14 mpg in city driving and 20 mpg in highway driving. The 2017 Cadillac CTS-V will be offered in six trims.
2017 Cadillac CTS-V – Date of Arrival and Price:
The coupe is expected to go on sale in first the half of 2017 at a base price of $85,000.
