Citroen C3 2017 Review

The Citroen C3 was manufactured for the first time in 2002, and since then, it has been one of the most sought-after cars by young and first-time vehicle buyers. Citroen has been fine-tuning the supermini car in an effort to meet demands and specific needs of customers. The French automobile manufacturer intends to introduce a new model that will be named the Citroen C3 2017.

Citroen C3 2017 – Remarkable Design:

Built on the PSA PF1 platform, the upcoming C3 will borrow a lot of exterior features from C3 Picasso, C3 Aircross, C4 Cactus, DS3 and Peugeot 207 which are also based on the PF1 platform. The car will be constructed with aluminum and other less dense materials, making it light and less bulk. According to the car manufacturer, it will be slightly lighter than its predecessor.

From the original photos available online, the front end of the Citroen C3 2017 looks compact with well-positioned grilles and fog lights. The headlamps are large, covering a large portion of this end. The rear end is trimmed down. It has a smaller tailgate, a toned-down bumper and larger taillights. On the sides, there are 15-inch wheels and some well-designed windows.

The interior of the Citroen C3 2017 will be upholstered in cloth and Alcantara leather, making it smart and classic. The cabin is expected to be quite comfortable despite the car’s small size. It will be designed to accommodate 5 passengers. In the dashboard, there will be an updated infotainment system, a revised instrument cluster, and many button controls. The trim levels are expected to get high-tech features such as climate control system, a navigation system, and connectivity systems.

There will be at least three engines designed to improve the performance of the new C3. One engine will be a 1.1-liter I4 with a capacity of 68 hp and 70 lb-ft. Another one will be a 1.4-liter I4 rated 82 hp and 100 lb-ft. And the final 1.6-liter I4 capable of generating 110 hp and 120 lb-ft.

When it comes to transmission, the three drivetrains will work with a 5/6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission system. Concerning speeds, the car will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 115 mph. Moreover on the drivetrains, the fuel consumption rates will be around 28 mpg in the city & 35 mpg on the highway while emission rates will be lowered significantly.

Safety and Security:

The passengers will enjoy great safety and security when riding in this small car. The automaker will equip the car with many protection features such as cruise control, collision warning system, parking assist, lane departure warning system, blind spot monitoring system, airbags, and seatbelts.

Citroen C3 2017 – Price and Release Date:

The lowly-equipped Citroen C3 2017 will be priced at around $15,000 while the top trim level at around $25,000. On the side of release date, the vehicle will be available for sale in the first half of 2017.


The mini car enthusiasts expect the new Citroen vehicle to be rivaled by the following cars: Kia Kenya, Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, Nissan Note, Toyota Yaris and Hyundai i20.
