The Infiniti wants to redefine their crossovers and announce the release of the new crossover; the 2017 Infiniti QX50, formerly known as Infiniti EX. It will have a major redesign and offer far much utility than its predecessor. The latest technology will be used in production and features added in this car enhance comfort and luxury which are the core design aspects. Performance and fuel efficiency have also improved and this will make this car compete favorably with other cars in its class.
2017 Infiniti QX50 – Design Updates:
The exterior of the 2017 Infiniti QX50 gives it a classy and sharp appearance with the fascia greatly improved to give it a more elegant look. The grill has been made bigger and there are adaptive LED headlights that flank its side. The bumper gives this crossover an aggressive look and on its lower side; LED fog lights and air vents for engine cooling have been placed. This car has a sloping roofline and a low stance which gives it a coupe-like appearance. There are two spoilers on the roof and one on the back that enhances the sleek look of this car. At the rear; the tail lights have been made bigger and a new double exhaust system has been installed. The wheels on this 4 door SUV will be 19-inch alloys with an increased wheelbase to go with the new suspension system.
The interior can fit in five passengers and the front seats have been raised for a better road view. Legroom for all passengers has increased thanks to a bigger cabin. The seats are covered in leather and quality fabric to increase the level of comfort. The 2017 Infiniti QX50 will also have a redesigned dashboard that will be more user-friendly and interactive, it is made of soft plastic, wood, and carbon fiber and has aluminum lines and edges. There is an LCD display at the middle for navigation and infotainment which consists of an enhanced audio system, Bluetooth for hands-free calls, satellite radio, and an MP3 player. There will be front and side airbags for passenger safety with other security features including blind spot monitor, brake assist, rear view parking sensor and a lane departure warning system.
2017 Infiniti QX50 – Engine Expectations and Performance:
The 2017 Infiniti QX50 drive-train is a 3.7 liter V6 engine that has an output of 325 hp and 267-pound foot of torque. It is mated to the new and improved 7-speed automatic transmission gearbox with a manual option also available, all wheel drive comes as a standard feature. This car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and top speed is speculated to be 130 mph. Fuel efficiency; although better than the previous model isn’t that great for this car. It is EPA-rated at 17/24 miles per gallon for city/highway. Handling is smooth on the 2017 Infiniti QX50 thanks to a hydraulic assisted steering and the only downside to this crossover SUV is the loud engine.
2017 Infiniti QX50 – Reveal and Price:
The new Infiniti QX50 is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2016 with a retail price of $35,500. The competition will be tough in the crowded SUV market but Infiniti producers hope that price will be the determinant as it a cheaper option for cars in its class.
