Two engine options will be available for the new Toyota Avalon. The first one will be a 2.0-liter, capable of producing 200 hp and 196 lb-ft of torque. The other engine will be a 3.5-liter V6, with a capacity of 268 hp and 220 lb-ft. It is rumored that the new Avalon may also get a hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine and an electric motor. These engines will be connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The powertrain is expected to offer low-fuel consumption and stable performance. It will also have reduced emissions. Fuel consumption will be around 21 mpg in the cities and 31 mpg on the highways.

2017 Toyota Avalon – Price, Release Date and Competitions:

Starting price will be fixed at $33,500. There will be at least 5 configurations, and each will come with its own price. Released date is expected in the beginning of 2017. The new Avalon will be available in markets outside the USA by the second half of 2017.

The new 2017 Toyota Avalon will face rivalry from Chevrolet Impala, Lexus ES, Nissan Maxima, Ford Fusion, Hyundai Genesis, Honda Accord, Acura TLX and Chrysler 300.
