The Toyota GT86 was first unveiled in 2012. In order to keep this car competitive over other similar cars, the Japanese automobile manufacturer is planning to release a refurbished model in the next year. This will be 2017 Toyota GT86. The new vehicle is expected to get a flattering exterior, comfortable interior and powerful engines.
2017 Toyota GT86 – Exterior and Interior:
The new GT86 will get most of its design features from the FR-S and Subaru BRZ. The automaker will use light materials to construct the sports car, something which will significantly improve its speed and fuel consumption. The entire body will be glazed by sharper lines and aerodynamics. These features will make the car sleeker, and thus sportier, than the outgoing model.
The front side of 2017 Toyota GT86 will feature a wider grille, updated LED headlamps, and a new bumper. When it comes to the rear side, the sports car will have a new splitter, slightly protruding exhaust pipes among other innovative features. More exterior features include long bonnet, prominent side skirts, and 19-inch wheels. Front seats will be low-mounted while the rear ones fold-down enabled. They will be covered with high-quality leather, making them classy and comfortable. Passengers will enjoy stress-free rides even when traveling long distances. Steering wheel will have a better grip and more responsive than before.
The new GT86 will not be left behind when it comes to getting technological features. The dashboard will be equipped with a functional infotainment consisting of a touch screen and compatible with latest connectivity software and gadgets. Other tech features include a navigation system, an air conditioning system, and a powerful audio system. Safety features of 2017 Toyota GT86 include seat belts, airbags, limited fixed differential, stability control, reverse view camera and emergency brakes.
2017 Toyota GT86 – Engine and Fuel Economy:
A number of engine options will be available for the new Toyota sports car. One of them will be the existing a 2.0-liter I4, capable of producing 200 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque.
The engine will be connected to a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption will be up to 25 mpg in the cities and 34 mpg on the highways. The CO2 emissions will be reduced significantly in this new model.
The new Toyota GT86 sports car will face most rivalry from Mazda MX-5 Miata.
2017 Toyota GT86 – Price and Release Date:
Starting price will be set at $37,000. There will be many models of this car, and each will come with its own price tag. Refurbished models will cost more than the base model. Released date is expected in the second quarter of 2016. Most European markets will be selling the new GT86 by the end of 2016.
